FAQs
TONI&GUY Hair Brushes & Accessories
The lifespan of your TONI&GUY hair brush will vary depending on how often and how it’s used. As a general guide, we recommend replacing your brush every 6–12 months.
How can I extend the life of my brush?
To keep your brush in good condition, we recommend using one brush per person and cleaning it monthly.
How do I clean my TONI&GUY hair brush?
- Bamboo Range (excluding the Bamboo Scalp Massage Brush): Do not soak in water. Remove any hair from the cushion base, then gently clean with cold water and a small amount of cleansing shampoo. Dry immediately to prevent damage.
- Salon Quality Range (excluding Natural Bristles): Remove any hair from the cushion base, then soak the brush in cool water with a small amount of cleansing shampoo for 10–15 minutes. Rinse and allow to dry thoroughly.
- Natural Bristles: Gently remove any hair trapped in between the bristles with a comb or your fingers. In a bowl, mix warm water with a few drops of cleansing shampoo. Proceed to soak the brush for 10-15 minutes. Then use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the bristles and the base to remove dust and build-up. Rinse the brush thoroughly under warm running water until all the soap is gone. Shake off the excess water and lay the brush on a towel with the bristles facing down to dry completely, ensuring the base pad of the bristles does not accumulate water.

The natural bristles on the TONI&GUY Accessories range are Boar hair. This is obtained by shaving the animal when the hairs are long enough, no animals are harmed in this process.
No need to worry, this is a deliberate design function to allow for air to escape from the pad of the brush! Your hair brush is not faulty!
